Job Summary
The Mechanic Apprenticeship is designed to build technical skills in preventative maintenance tasks and gain hands-on experience in corrective repairs of oil & gas mechanical equipment.
Apprentices will work closely with a dedicated mentor, complete two assignments across different operational areas to develop a broad understanding of how teams and functions work together to safely deliver production and minimize downtime.
This is a temporary 6‑month field-based position providing direct exposure to the Chevron Way Values and the strong safety culture that defines the Shale & Tight Business Unit.

Applied Associate of Science degree OR equivalent education/military training OR certificate program with experience
Minimum GPA of 2.5 in core classes
Live within 50 miles of the work location
Ability to work day/night shifts, weekends, holidays
