Job Summary
Clay Electric’s engineering internship program is an opportunity for selected college students to gain real-world, on-the-job experience, while networking with business professionals and developing valuable leadership.
Individuals will be directed and mentored by qualified Clay Electric employees to develop engineering experience and skills required within the electric utility industry to design and maintain a safe, reliable, and affordable electrical system.
The program will be a twelve (12) week program over the summer with a maximum thirty-two (32) hours per week.

Must-have
Operational Technology (OT) network support
AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio proficiency
Data collection and asset management
Safe operation of assigned vehicle
Use of engineering modeling tools
Field work in outdoor environments
Microsoft Office applications proficiency

Key Requirements
Junior or Senior college student
Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Cybersecurity
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during Spring 2026 semester
