Job Summary
This one year training program is for recent or soon to be high school graduates and alternative school graduates to learn about state government and highway maintenance.
Trainees receive hands-on training including safety rules, job hazard assessments, first aid and CPR, and training to obtain a Class A commercial driver license.

Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED between Jan 1, 2023 and Jul 1, 2026
Ability to obtain Class A commercial learner permit within 60 days of hire
Must be 18 years old by Sep 1, 2026 with one year driving experience
Ability to obtain CDL-A with tanker endorsement within six months
Valid driver’s license at time of hire
Maximum 45 minute response time to Parkdale, OR for emergencies
Acceptable driving record and pre-employment driving checks
