Job Summary

  • This position ensures that correct medical information including and not limited to past medical history, labs, cardiology, imaging and hospital records are present and available so that the providers have an efficient visit with patients.
  • The HIM technician reconciles, preps, scans, and index medical records according to Department Policies and Procedure that are consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the University of Miami.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
