Job Summary

  • The analyst will join the North American Power and Renewables team (US and Canada), which conducts industry research and provides forecasts of electricity generation, capacity additions and market prices to a variety of clients.
  • Update and use power market simulation models and interface to address client questions, typically related to price forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analyses, risk assessment, portfolio valuation, and strategic assessments.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience of power modelling in North America
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, statistics or industry-related field
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Aurora power modelling software preferred
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages preferred
  • Familiarity with visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
  • Graduate degree with quantitative skills preferred
