Job Summary

  • The City’s Seniors Services and Long-Term Care Division supports Toronto seniors and residents in long-term care homes to have the healthiest, most fulfilling lives possible through exceptional care and services.
  • Major Responsibilities include receiving, checking, recording, sorting, storing, issuing, and retrieving food and supplies, preparing food and beverages, serving food, and cleaning kitchen equipment and areas.
  • As a condition of employment, selected candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Reference Check with vulnerable sector screening, tuberculosis screening and proof of immunization.

  • Working with behavioural residents is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Standards
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler Program (One Day Course)
