This role serves as the primary technology strategist for McGill Libraries, collaborating with the Library Cabinet to develop an innovative vision for digital collections and information technology services.
The successful candidate must foster a culture of innovation while advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility within the Libraries' services and workplace.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Master's degree in Library or Information Science
5+ years managerial experience in academic library
Leadership of IT professionals and librarians
Knowledge of digital preservation and repository platforms
Experience with emerging technologies like AI and linked data
Proven track record in strategic planning and budgeting
Nice-to-have
Knowledge of French language
Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
Understanding of Indigenous history and reconciliation in Canada
Ability to secure funding from grant agencies
Experience working in a unionized environment
Key Requirements
Master's degree in LIS or equivalent
Minimum 5 years in managerial position
Appointment at Associate or Full Librarian level
