The Advanced Nursing Extern will be responsible to provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
The Extern's duties and responsibilities are limited to those that fall under the scope of practice of unlicensed health care providers acting under the direction of a licensed nurse as per the Alabama Board of Nursing.
This individual shall support the department of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, selected technical skills, data collection, and lab specimen collection.
