You will assess, diagnose, and implement treatments for a range of problems related to the foot and lower limbs in the primary care setting. Using your specialist skills, you will treat a broad spectrum of patients ranging from low-risk foot conditions such as corns, calluses, and pathological nail conditions, musculoskeletal cases to high-risk diabetic foot ulcers. You will also be involved in the prescription of custom-made foot orthoses. In addition, you will educate patients and family members or caregivers on preventive foot care and the continued treatment of disorders, and conduct talks relating to foot care. You will also contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students. Requirements Degree in Podiatry from a recognized university. Registration with the relevant governing body of this profession, if applicable. Ability to work well independently in a challenging environment alongside a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgement, and decision-making in the provision of care. A patient-focused individual with a genuine desire to make a difference in community healthcare Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel to different polyclinics in the West.
