Key Requirements

  • Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) within 2 years
  • Unarmed Guard License (NC) or FOID/CCW (IL)
  • NIMS Compliance and Stop the Bleed Certification
  • Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER) certification within 90 days
  • Associate's degree in criminal justice or related field
  • 5 years experience in security/public safety with 3 years as lead officer
  • State of Illinois 20-hour Basic Security Officer course (if IL)
