Job Summary
The Hydraulics Unit provides hydrologic and hydraulic design recommendations and advice to all DOT personnel on surface drainage and stormwater quality matters.
This role will focus on providing technical expertise, policy coordination, and training to internal staff and private engineering firms in support of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) studies and designs.
In this role you will manage multiple teams of engineers and technicians, as well as coordinate with private engineering firms, to provide technical support and conduct Hydrological and Hydraulic (H&H) Studies and Designs.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering field
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience
Three (3) years of supervisory experience
Registration as a professional engineer in North Carolina
