Zurich Insurance Company Ltd is seeking a Head of Reserving for the Workers Compensation Line of Business, responsible for leading a team of actuaries in reserve setting, loss ratio forecasting, and financial planning. The ideal candidate should have extensive actuarial experience, preferably in Workers Compensation, and possess strong leadership and communication skills

Job Summary

  • This role leads a team of actuaries responsible for reserve setting and testing, loss ratio forecasting, and financial planning for the Workers Compensation portfolio.
  • The position leads the WC reserving view for the Expected Loss Ratio (ELR) recommendations and drives the reserving content for Virtuous Circle discussions with pricing, claims and underwriting.
  • The role partners closely with Business Unit (BU) and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership to ensure transparency, alignment, and a shared understanding of factors impacting loss reserves, financial forecasts, and financial plans for all WC segments.
