Job Summary

  • The Materials Manager is responsible for implementing, managing and improving all processes related to the materials department including procurement, material handling, scheduling, inventory management, receiving, shipping, production scheduling, forecasting, demand management, etc.
  • This key function will work closely with the plant manager to create and execute a production plan each month, and will contribute to improvements in supplier management, on-time delivery, and forecast accuracy.

Key Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in a technical competency, business/industrial related field, OR equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in planning and materials management, purchasing
  • SAP experience
  • APICS, CPIM, CPM, ISM or ASQ Supply Chain Certification (preferred)
  • Six Sigma or LEAN certification (preferred)
