Job Summary

  • The Prototyping Supervisor formulates, recommends, and supervises projects in an assigned section of a research and development area to meet the organizations needs for the improvement and cost reduction of existing products and processes, as well as the introduction of new products and processes.
  • Coordinate and manage prototyping job requests for new product development, sustaining and operations, mentor and provide technical guidance to prototyping machinists, and use technical expertise to troubleshoot and develop prototypes with high complexity.
  • Develop and manage capacity models and KPIs to ensure team meets organizational objectives and meets or exceeds external vendor costs and timelines, and set and manage goal and performance reviews for those supervised.

Key Requirements

  • Associate degree or program certificate preferred
  • 5+ years manual machining experience
  • 3+ years leadership experience
  • 5+ years CNC programming experience
  • Ability to interpret GD&T
  • Ability to design/develop parts
  • Read and speak English
