Relativity Space is seeking a GNC Simulation Engineer I to contribute to the development of their Terran R rocket. The ideal candidate should have a background in engineering or related fields and experience in developing physics-based simulations

Job Summary

  • The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) and Performance teams are responsible for defining and analyzing how Terran R flies, from liftoff to landing.
  • You will be a key contributor to the 6DOF simulation used for GNC algorithm development, Monte Carlo analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing.
  • You’ll develop flight algorithms, simulate trajectories, and model Terran R’s dynamic behavior across mission profiles.

  • Relevant student team, research, internship, or full-time experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and intense startup environment
  • Ability to complete projects with ownership of end-to-end solutions with a high degree of independence
