Job Summary

  • The Senior Archivist serves as the agency’s subject matter expert and operational lead for records management, archival preservation, and digital records governance.
  • This position is responsible for managing, preserving, and ensuring lawful access to the agency’s physical, electronic, and digitized records in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, archival standards, and agency policies.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Archival Administration, Library Science, History, Information Management, or related field
  • Five (5) years of relevant archival experience
  • Two (2) years of supervisory, lead, or program coordination experience
  • Master's degree in Archival Studies, Library Science, History, Information Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Certified Archivist (CA), Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Digital Archives Specialist (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Grooper or similar document management systems (preferred)
  • Experience with government records, land records, real estate, mineral, or oil and gas documentation (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory
