Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Perform direct patient care in emergency department
  • Administer IVs and saline locks for licensed EMT-Ps
  • Assist with advanced airway and central line insertion
  • Conduct cardiac monitoring and 12 lead EKGs
  • Maintain infection control and clean sterile instruments
  • Transport patients and medical supplies interdepartmentally

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of clerical functions and order entry
  • Experience with AIDET communication framework
  • Ability to work under high stress conditions

Key Requirements

  • 2-3 years hospital or pre-hospital patient care experience
  • Completion of 1 year nursing school clinical rotations
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • EMT-P license for IV competency
