The applicant will join the SVMF Operations team within a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for working with the NASA customers, external vendors, Astronaut Crew Instructor teams, Mockup Managers, users, and commercial and international partners to capture and negotiate requirements and operations concepts

Job Summary

  • The applicant will join the SVMF Operations team within a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for working with the NASA customers, external vendors, Astronaut Crew Instructor teams, Mockup Managers, users, and commercial and international partners to capture and negotiate requirements and operations concepts.
  • Primary responsibilities include training and certifying as Partial Gravity System (PGS) Operator, Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Operator, and Test Director (TD) to lead Pressurized Suited operations activities.

Key Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or other engineering-based technical degree and appropriate certifications with 4-6 years' experience
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience directly working with Pressure Systems (hydraulics / pneumatics)
  • Experience with pressure regulators, cylinders, relief valves, and certified breathing air standards
  • Fabrication skills with engineering instructions
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools
  • Successful completion of a government background check
