Must-have

  • venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • digital radiology including positioning
  • dental procedures including digital x-rays
  • general anesthesia and surgical assisting
  • medical record documentation
  • client communication and education
  • laboratory skills including microscope use

Nice-to-have

  • passion for working with animals and owners
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ability to perform technician appointments independently
  • experience with proper animal handling and restraint

Key Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Degree from AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred
  • 3 years’ experience as veterinary technician or assistant preferred

Work Rights

Must have or obtain Oregon CVT license within 3 months
