Job Summary

  • Assist in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents, in collaboration with the Recreation Manager & Executive Director.
  • Maintain effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments, keeping them informed of current and upcoming events.

Key Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology or related field
  • Skills and experience in a health care or similar setting
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in one-one/group program planning, care planning, resident assessments, implementation, and evaluation for geriatric population especially those cognitively impaired is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Activity Pro and Point Click Care
