Job Summary
PATH seeks a subject matter expert to lead technical support for polio surveillance activities across Kenya as part of the STRIDES Project.
The role requires strengthening national and subnational surveillance performance to meet Global Polio Eradication Initiative standards including non-polio AFP rates and stool adequacy.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to analyze information, identify problems, and recommend solutions while coordinating with ministries of health and international partners.

Must-have
Direct experience in polio surveillance
Knowledge of AFP and environmental surveillance
Experience with outbreak investigation in Kenya
Ability to work in complex environments
Proficiency with DIHS2 and surveillance databases
Nice-to-have
Prior work in non-governmental organizations
Experience with zoonotic disease surveillance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate diverse stakeholder groups
Experience developing surveillance tools and manuals
Key Requirements
Master's degree in epidemiology, public health, or veterinary medicine
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Kenya
Legal authorization to work in Kenya required
English working proficiency required
Willingness to travel within Kenya estimated at 25%
