Job Summary
Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, verifying resident identity and ensuring prescribed medication is not administered to another resident.
Monitor assigned personnel to ensure they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies and that departmental policies and procedures are followed.
