Job Summary

• The position plans, schedules and directs the activities of employees engaged in grounds maintenance for the US Air Force Academy, including the maintaining of airfield runways, athletic areas, installation improved & unimproved grounds, irrigation, and pest control.
• Responsible for playground and recreational area maintenance, recommending solutions for operational problems, and attending meetings with peers, subordinates, subcontractor(s) and Government CE to ensure compliance.
• Supervise various personnel functions including time sheets, hiring, performance appraisals, discipline and PTO schedules, and demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.

• Five years of experience in roads & grounds maintenance
• Two years of supervisory experience
• Experience with heavy equipment operations
• Experience in lawn and ornamental plant maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to pass background check
