Job Summary

  • The Principal Data Steward role involves ensuring data integrity and usability across lab and manufacturing systems to support R&D decision making, manufacturing scale-up, and tech transfer within Therapeutic Development and Supply.
  • This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement data standards, automate quality checks, and drive continuous improvement while supporting the adoption of AI-assisted data curation tools.

Must-have

  • Data stewardship processes for CMC data
  • Data aggregation and curation activities
  • Collaboration with ontology and data engineering teams
  • Implementation of data quality checks
  • Use of laboratory and manufacturing systems like ELN, LIMS, SAP, MES
  • Scripting proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Translation of scientific business requirements into data requirements

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in pharmaceutical research and development
  • Agile and product management experience
  • Proficiency in SPARQL
  • Experience managing remote resources
  • Use of AI-assisted data curation tools

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Data Science or related field
  • 3+ years experience in data stewardship or laboratory informatics
  • 3+ years experience with CMC laboratory and manufacturing data systems
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and SQL
  • Experience with ontology-driven data models
  • Preferred 5+ years experience in relevant fields
  • Preferred advanced scientific degree
