Job Summary

  • The primary focus of the Senior Training Specialist position is to provide advanced level development and delivery of effective HIM (Health Information Management) application courses for a diverse audience of multidisciplinary faculty, staff, and medical students.
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate enterprise-focused learning objectives, course outlines, assessments, storyboards, instructor manuals, and participant materials, job aids/tip sheets and other supplementary training deliverables.
  • Effectively conduct a variety of instructor-led and virtual application classes and rare in-person training.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Education, Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience
  • 4+ years of experience in delivering course content for a variety of learning delivery modalities
  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing curricula
  • Certified in at least one Epic module (HIM strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Lectora, Camtasia
  • Proficiency in Zoom, MS Teams, screen capture, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and SharePoint
  • Proficiency with project planning and control techniques
