Job Summary

• The Histotechnician - Lab is responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic diagnosis through grossing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
• Perform technical procedures for tissue sample preparation and slide production, including grossing, embedding, microtomy, Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining, special stains, and immunohistochemistry staining, ensuring diagnostic quality and accuracy.
• This role requires a proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• 24 semester hours in medical laboratory technology or science courses
• Associate degree in chemical or biological sciences or medical laboratory technology
• 60 semester hours from an accredited institution
• 1 year of experience in an anatomic pathology laboratory preferred
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
