Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for its Defense Solutions unit in Santa Clarita, CA. The ideal candidate will lead quality engineering initiatives, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards while driving continuous improvement in quality systems

Job Summary

  • You will drive continual improvement of the AS9100 certified Quality System to manage program quality requirements, minimize cost of quality while maximizing customer satisfaction through the delivery of on-time, high quality, highly reliable product.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical/Software Engineering or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years related experience or 7 years with graduate degree
  • experience with AS9100 QMS in aerospace & defense
  • experience with J-STD-001, IPC standards and 8D problem-solving
  • ASQ CMQOE and/or ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification preferred
  • experience interfacing with major customers on quality issues
  • subject to drug and alcohol testing per 49 CFR Part 40
