Job Summary

• The Northwest Flight Test Transport Data Systems Team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and maintain web-enabled data ingestion, processing, visualization, and archival systems used in flight test programs.
• This hands-on role will contribute to front-end and back-end development, data pipelines, CI/CD automation, system testing, and integrations with instrumentation and acquisition hardware.
• The successful candidate should have excellent debugging and documentation skills across software and systems architecture, the ability to research, evaluate, and test new software solutions, and proficiency coding in languages such as JavaScript, Python, C, and C++.

Associate Level: $98,600 - $133,400; Mid-Level: $119,850 - $162,150; Benefits: Generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent
• US Person required
• 2+ years of experience with software development on Windows or Linux
• 2+ years of experience in hardware or software requirements, design/development, analysis, integration or testing/verification activities
• 2+ years of experience developing, documenting and maintaining complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, software-to-hardware interfaces and designs for software systems
• Experience in API design and development
• Experience in web application development teams
• Experience in identifying and communicating business requirements with cross-functional teams
