Job Summary
The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants.
The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care and works with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality care.
Responsibilities include coordinating and participating in staff recruitment, payroll, employee benefits, and planning/conducting drills, while maintaining employee/resident/patient confidentiality.

Key Requirements
Graduation from accredited School of Nursing
Valid RN or LVN/LPN license
1 year direct patient care experience
1 year education program planning experience
Current CPR certification
Maintain all required continuing education/licensing
