Job Summary

  • The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants.
  • The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care and works with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality care.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating and participating in staff recruitment, payroll, employee benefits, and planning/conducting drills, while maintaining employee/resident/patient confidentiality.

  • Current CPR certification
  • Maintain all required continuing education/licensing
