Job Summary

• The Academic Advisor will provide academic advising to current and future communication majors, both virtually and in person, and is an important part of building community and belonging within the Department.
• Tasks include advising students on major requirements, degree clearances, prerequisite checks, course permissions, managing social media, maintaining the ELMS page, assisting with student events, presenting workshops, and orientation advising.
• The role requires a Bachelor's degree, two years of counseling or advising experience, and strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a diverse community.
