Job Summary

  • Responsible for greeting patients/family, scheduling patient appointments, scheduling hospital and ambulatory admissions/procedures.
  • Answers the telephone promptly and deals with callers needs imperiously, directing all calls appropriately, taking an accurate message and delivering to the appropriate individual.
  • Obtains, verifies and updates patient information; maintains confidentiality according to policies and protects the privacy and confidentiality of patients and employees.

Key Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Heartsaver within 30 days of hire
  • Previous PSR experience preferred

  • Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of medical office and terminology preferred
  • Basic proficiency in computer use
  • Experience with EHR, Practice Management System preferred
