Job Summary
The Senior Mechanic provides senior level mechanical experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of stationary plant equipment, vehicle, and heavy automotive equipment.
Performs skilled mechanical maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe and operational equipment, and diagnoses, troubleshoots, and determines maintenance and repair needs across the City and its facilities.
Trains and educates other mechanics on procedures and methods for repairs, ensuring all work is done accurately and effectively with strong attention to detail.
