Job Summary

  • This role supports training sessions for a wide variety of zoological animal areas and programs, performing daily husbandry tasks including administering vitamins and medications as directed, preparing food, and maintaining a safe and sanitary working area for all animal habitats.
  • You will be responsible for food preparation and storage, providing and maintaining a work environment that follows established guidelines and safety procedures, and observing animals to report any abnormalities to supervisors and the team.

Key Requirements

  • SCUBA certified
  • Ability to pass a dive physical
  • Complete CPR training/certification
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous Marine Mammal/Bird of Prey experience preferred
  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Extensive walking and standing
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
