Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification
  • JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification
  • Minimum 1 year ophthalmic experience for COA
  • Minimum 2 years specialized experience for COT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 2 weeks
  • Obtain COA certification within 12 months if hired as NCOA
