Job Summary
The Cost Manager will be overseeing a cost engineer and administrative staff who will be undertaking the day-to-day transactional side of project controls.
The position requires interaction and review of data required of and produced by subcontractors for the project and the ability to summarize the data for the project management team to see and review.
The Cost Manager will have a client facing role, meeting regularly with the owner’s site based project managers and the owner’s project controls manager when he or she visits site for financial reviews.

Key Requirements
5 years of experience desired
Proficient user of CMiC PM or similar software
Proficient user of Word and Excel
Good understanding of construction systems
Experienced in management of teams
Good leadership, communication and negotiation skills
Technical and business writing skills
Knowledge of basic general contractor accounting practices
Working knowledge of construction insurances
General contracting experience required
Bachelors’ degree, preferably in construction or engineering
