This position is critical to enhancing design capability, improving production efficiency, and advancing KITCO’s role as a trusted provider of next-generation connectivity solutions for mission-critical defense platforms.
The role involves leading prototype builds, design validation, transition to production, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on new product introduction and customer-driven projects.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Mechanical design and production support
Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Strong expertise in GD&T and tolerance analysis
Experience with FEA/CAE tools
Hands-on prototyping and 3D printing
Familiarity with RF and optical test equipment
Cross-functional technical collaboration
Nice-to-have
Military fiber optic infrastructure experience
Experience with government defense programs
Knowledge of MIL, IEC, TIA, VITA, SOSA standards
Familiarity with intellectual property processes
Mentoring early-career engineers
Continuous improvement mindset
Adaptability in fast-paced environments
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
5–10 years mechanical design experience
U.S. citizenship required
Experience in defense, aerospace, or telecom hardware
Familiarity with ERP systems (Costpoint preferred)
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
