Job Summary

  • Clinical Pharmacy Specialists are responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy.
  • Responds to medical emergencies in department and throughout hospital as needed including Stroke Alerts and Code Blues.
  • Ensures antibiotic stewardship activities and issues are communicated with the ED practitioners, regarding opportunities to optimize antimicrobial utilization and help reduce inappropriate antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance.

  • Board certification within first year
