Job Summary

  • IWK Health is a respected academic health sciences centre located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, providing tertiary and primary care for two million children, youth, adults and families each year across the Atlantic region.
  • The mammography technologist is responsible for operating radiological and accessory equipment for mammography, breast ultrasound and interventional procedures, performing quality screening and diagnostic mammography with minimal supervision.
  • Successful external applicants will be eligible to receive a one-time Signing Bonus of $5,000 with a required 18 month Return of Service.

Key Requirements

  • Graduate of approved Radiological Technology school
  • Current or eligible registration with NSCMIRTP
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Mammography positioning skills experience preferred
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions
  • Willingness to obtain continuing education for CAR Mammography Accreditation
