Amentum is seeking summer interns for its Space Exploration Division, focusing on hardware development, modeling, and simulation for space programs. The role involves working collaboratively with engineers and scientists on projects related to lunar landers and launch vehicles, requiring technical skills in programming and analysis

Job Summary

  • As an Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) intern, you will work alongside engineers and scientists on hardware development, payload integration & operations, laboratory & test operations, modeling & simulation, space environments, scientific research and propulsion systems for programs like Human Landing Systems, Space Launch Systems and the International Space Station!
  • Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Model, simulate, and analyze vehicle and spacecraft dynamics Analysis of launch vehicle and spacecraft multi-body dynamics, equations of motion, and trajectories to assess contact and clearance during liftoff, separation, and jettison events.
