Responsibilities include leading daily forecasts, severe weather alerts, and developing long-range planning strategies in collaboration with the News Director.
The role requires active viewer engagement across on-air, web, and social platforms while ensuring the highest standards of forecast accuracy and public trust.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or related field
Minimum 3 years on-air meteorology experience
Expertise in severe weather coverage and radar interpretation
Knowledge of NOAA products including NWS SPC NHC WPC
Strong digital and social media communication skills
Nice-to-have
AMS and/or NWA Seal certification preferred
Experience with Baron's Lynx graphics system
Previous leadership or senior role experience
Community engagement and public safety initiative participation
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related field
Minimum 3 years on-air experience with 1 year in leadership
Must be available for breaking weather situations including nights and weekends
