Job Summary

  • Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room environment is safe, that equipment is functioning properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
  • Accountable for instrument trays to match the instrument list provided in the tray and update surgeon's preference card per entity specific process.
  • Serves as a preceptor for new surgical technologists and/or student surgical technologists and promotes and contributes to the enhancement of quality care for the surgical patient.
