The Office of Administrative Hearings in North Carolina is seeking an Attorney I to provide legal advice regarding rulemaking processes for the Rules Review Commission. Job Summary

  • This position provides professional legal services, rendering staff support and advice to the Rules Review Commission.
  • This position reviews permanent and temporary rules adopted by state government agencies and advises the Rules Review Commission on whether those rules are within the authority delegated to the agency by the General Assembly and are otherwise adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act.
  • The Commission Counsel will also serve in any position and render any services required by the agency when requested by the Chief Administrative Law Judge or the Director of APA Services/Codifier of Rules.
