The State of Georgia is seeking a Mechanic 1/Transportation Technician 3 for their Bartow maintenance shop, responsible for diagnosing and repairing gasoline and diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of mechanical experience and a commitment to quality customer service
Job Summary
The selected candidate will maintain, diagnose, and perform repairs on moderate difficulty gasoline and diesel-powered engines and vehicles under close supervision.
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to read shop manuals, apply settings from diagrams, and follow oral instructions with little or no supervision.
Upon promotion, the selected candidate will receive 10% or the GDOT job specific minimum salary, whichever is greater.
