Job Summary

  • The Respiratory Care Mentor shall be tasked to develop and implement a model for mentorship for respiratory care.
  • This individual will make rounds to meet with clinical therapists to provide guidance and oversee less experienced therapists while facilitating their career development.
  • The Mentor shall prepare and deliver respiratory-related education lectures and case studies to assigned therapists.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Critical care experience required
  • NICU experience required or obtained within a year
  • Active ASBRT LRT licensure required
  • NBRC RRT certification required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Respiratory Care

Nice-to-have

  • Master's degree highly preferred
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • NBRC ACCS certification preferred
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years recent critical care experience
  • Active ASBRT LRT license
  • NBRC RRT certification
  • Degree in Respiratory Care required
  • BLS certification required
