Job Summary

  • This role is responsible to supervise the day to day transportation department activities within assigned area(s) such as dispatching, routing, product/equipment security, equipment maintenance, etc.
  • Assign and update driver schedules and coordinate delivery changes through routing and scheduling software system(s) or work with dispatchers/route analysts to coordinate day-to-day scheduling of associates based on resources, volume, etc.; maximize resources and ensure most efficient routes for assigned area(s) to include customer deliveries and backhauls.
  • Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals.
