Job Summary

  • The Building Engineer maintains all facility equipment in good working order including all HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, foodservice, custodial and life safety equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all pertinent building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, foodservice and life safety systems.
  • Starting pay of $36.56 per hour with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or college degree
  • Electrical or plumbing background preferred
  • Comfort with scissor lifts, genie lifts and ladders
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, machine tools and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics and blueprints
  • Experience across HVAC, electrical and carpentry
  • Proficiency with electrical gear including panels, breakers and motors
  • Appropriate training and experience in building operations
  • Basic computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Word)
  • Possess or acquire a NIULPE license
  • Continuous membership in Local 95 of the International Union of Operating Engineers
