The University of Miami is seeking a Marine Technical Specialist to coordinate tasks associated with the design, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance of oceanographic instruments and systems.
Candidates must be willing to travel domestically and internationally to join research vessels in both U.S. and foreign ports at various times throughout the year.
The position requires physical abilities including lifting above the shoulder, visual depth perception, and the ability to hear instructions or alarms while performing routine standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and bending.

Demonstrated experience leading deck operations for deployment and recovery of oceanographic moorings
