The University of Arkansas is seeking an Early Childhood Educator - Classroom Teacher to develop and implement play-based curricula for young children aged 8 weeks to 5 years. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree in a relevant field, along with experience in early childhood education, and will be responsible for mentoring new staff while fostering a positive learning environment

Job Summary

  • The Early Childhood Educator - Classroom Teacher will work as a team member to develop predictable, yet flexible, routines and rituals that support children and families.
  • The teaching associate will document and communicate the development of children by engaging in activities that include, but are not limited to: completing program-adopted assessment practices, collecting artifacts of learning, preparing weekly journals of classroom experiences, conducting parent-teacher conference, and maintaining classroom and children’s portfolios.
