Job Summary

• Responsible for minute-to-minute optimization of AEP’s Regulated generation fleet and load obligations, on an assigned desk.
• This position has the authority and is expected to perform all necessary tasks to maintain the reliability of the grid in both normal and emergency conditions.

Skills & Requirements

Key Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or two years military service (Associate)
• High School diploma/GED with 2 years industrial work experience (Associate)
• Two-year technical or business degree (Mid-level)
• High school diploma and 10 years power industry experience (Mid-level)
• 2 years Market Operations or equivalent experience (Mid-level)
• Must obtain PJM Certification within 18 months of hiring
• PJM Certification to be completed with 6 months of hiring (Mid-level with experience waiver)
