The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Social Work Intern for its Behavioral Health Service Line. This temporary position is designed for individuals enrolled in a Master’s program in Social Work, providing hands-on experience in both direct and indirect patient services under supervision
Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) internship will assist in preparing social work interns to be knowledgeable of the profession’s missions, values, principles, and standards, and will seek the well-being of the client population in a consistently ethical manner.

1st year interns will have 3 different ten week rotations in PRI departments within UAMS, learning agency policy & systems, referral sources, assessment components, treatment planning, services provided for patient care, systems influencing care, resources available, and discharge planning.
